Does the shoot happen at a separate time from the regular photos?
It depends on the time of year. In summer, sunset is late enough that we can shoot interiors during the day and return for twilight the same evening. In winter, we often schedule the full shoot to end at sunset so twilight captures happen right after interiors — one visit, no extra trip.
What if it's cloudy on the shoot day?
Light cloud cover actually produces beautiful twilight results — clouds catch the last warm light and add texture to the sky. Heavy overcast or rain eliminates the blue-hour effect, so we'd reschedule the twilight portion. The interior shoot can proceed regardless of weather.
