Stop the Scroll

Why Video Walkthroughs Outperform Photos Alone

Buyers scroll past static photos in seconds — but they stop for video. A smooth, well-cut walkthrough creates an emotional connection before a buyer ever steps inside the home. It also shows what a photo set structurally can't: how the rooms connect, how big the space actually feels walking through it, how the light moves across the day. In competitive Inland Empire markets like Riverside, Corona, and Eastvale, video is the differentiator that gets your listing noticed on Zillow, Realtor.com, and social media feeds.

Shows how the home flowsPhotos show rooms one at a time. Video shows how they connect — the thing buyers can't reconstruct from stills.
Emotional connectionVideo lets buyers experience the flow and feeling of a home — not just see individual rooms.
Social media nativeVideo content is prioritized by Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube algorithms over static images.
Pre-qualifies showingsBuyers who've watched a walkthrough arrive more interested and further along in their decision.

Production Quality

How We Shoot Listing Videos

These aren't shaky smartphone tours. Dustyn captures every walkthrough personally with professional stabilization equipment that produces smooth, cinematic movement through each room. Most of the time he has not seen the house until he pulls up, so the route gets read on arrival rather than storyboarded in advance — a drone or exterior establishing shot to open, in through the front door, and through the home the way a buyer would actually move through it. Every clip is color-graded to match the warmth and accuracy of the flambient photos.

Gimbal-stabilized movementProfessional stabilizer eliminates all camera shake for buttery-smooth transitions between rooms.
Route read on arrivalA front-of-house opener, in through the front door, then through the home the way a buyer would actually move.
Professional color gradingEvery clip balanced for color temperature, contrast, and consistency — matching the photo set.
Licensed background musicAmbient tracks licensed for commercial use on MLS, YouTube, social media, and marketing emails.

Behind the Lens

A Recent Video Walkthroughs Project

Still frame from a property video walkthrough showing a kitchen interior captured with gimbal-stabilized cinema camera
Recent Temecula Wine Country walkthrough — gimbal-stabilized, next-day delivery

Dustyn Reno operates the gimbal and the camera personally on every walkthrough — a Canon R5 Mark II or a Sony ZV-E1 depending on the job, gimbal-mounted for movement and on a tripod or handheld for detail shots. No second shooter or assistant in the frame to slow the flow.

In May 2026 I produced a 45-second listing video for a 3,800-square-foot home in Temecula CA — Wine Country neighborhood off Rancho California Road. I walk in without a shot list, because most of the time I have not seen the house until I pull up; I read the property on arrival and work a mental checklist instead. That one opened on a gimbal push toward the front elevation, then moved through the great room, kitchen, and primary suite, and closed on the pool deck and vineyard view. Captured Tuesday morning, edited and color-graded that evening, delivered Wednesday by 9 AM for the agent's Wednesday-night open-house promotion.

Local context: California Regional MLS (CRMLS) accepts uploaded video files up to 50MB and links to YouTube / Vimeo for longer walkthrough cuts — the standard 30-to-60-second listing edit lands far under that ceiling. I deliver in MP4 (H.264, 4K 60p downscaled to 1080p for MLS upload) plus the master 4K file for the agent's own marketing.

Video Walkthrough Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a real estate video walkthrough cost?
Video walkthroughs are included in our Premium package ($500) which also includes 40–50+ flambient photos and drone aerials. As a standalone add-on to any package, video is +$200. Most agents in the Inland Empire book the Premium for maximum marketing impact.See all packages
How long is the finished video?
Usually 30–60 seconds — one smooth pass through the home, cut tight. Its job is to stop the scroll and drive eyes to the listing; the agent covers the details at the showing.
Can I use the video on social media?
Yes — the 30–60 second cut is built to stop the scroll, which is exactly what social feeds reward, and the background music is commercially licensed for all platforms, so you can post without worrying about copyright strikes. If you want a format built specifically for Reels or TikTok, ask at booking and we'll plan for it in the shoot.
Do you include drone footage in the video?
Yes — if your package includes drone photography (Standard or Premium), the aerial footage is integrated into the video as an establishing shot or closing sequence. This adds dramatic production value and shows the property's surroundings and neighborhood context.
How quickly do I get the finished video?
Standard turnaround is next business day for both photos and video. The video is edited, color-graded, and delivered alongside your photo set. Rush same-day delivery is available for time-sensitive listings.
What if it's raining or overcast on the shoot day?
Interior video looks great in any weather since we control lighting. For exterior and drone footage, we monitor conditions and may suggest rescheduling if weather would significantly impact quality. Overcast days actually produce soft, even lighting for exteriors — rain is the only hard stop.
