Ship the Pieces, Get Finished Images Back

You send the pieces with a shot list, they are photographed against a white sweep or a styled set depending on the package, and edited files come back digitally. It runs from any state — there is no studio visit and no scheduling around a calendar. Return method is agreed before anything ships.

A shot list, not a guessAngles, counts and crops are agreed up front, so what comes back is what you planned.

The Hard Part

Metal, Stones and What the Surface Reflects

A polished surface is a mirror. Point a bare light at a ring and you photograph the room, the ceiling, and the photographer. The frame is built by controlling what the piece is allowed to reflect — light shaped, flagged and diffused rather than simply added — and by holding the stone bright without blowing out the metal beside it.

Reflections controlledShaped and flagged light, so the finish reads as metal instead of a hotspot.
Colour that holdsGold, rose gold and silver come back as the tone they actually are, not a cast.
Detail at scaleEngraving, hallmarks, setting and clasp hold up when a buyer zooms all the way in.

Jewelry Product Photography with Dustyn Reno

Real DRD product work — chronograph, available light on polished steel

Dustyn Reno shoots every mail-in order himself. The polished-metal work already in his archive — wrist chronographs, engraved coins, bottle glass — sets the same problem a ring or a chain does: deciding what the surface is allowed to reflect before a single frame is taken.

Local context: Marketplace mains are shot to the technical image spec Amazon publishes for main listing images — pure white at RGB 255, the product filling the frame — and everything is delivered in IEC 61966-2-1 sRGB on the same colour-managed pipeline behind my CRMLS listing work, so gold reads as gold on a phone, a laptop, and a print proof alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does jewelry product photography cost per piece?
White-background marketplace images start at $35 each, creative and styled frames at $125 each, and lifestyle scenes at $150. A full marketplace listing package starts at $299. There is a $300 order minimum, and every job is quoted to piece count, complexity and usage.Full pricing guide →
How long does it take once my pieces arrive?
Five to eight business days from the day the package lands, with an optional two-to-three day rush when a launch date is fixed. The clock starts on arrival, not on booking, so inbound transit is yours to plan.
How do the pieces get to you, and what happens after?
You cover inbound shipping and include a shot list. The return is agreed before anything moves: a prepaid label you provide or return shipping invoiced back to you.
Can you shoot for Amazon, Etsy and Shopify listings?
Yes. Pure-white mains are shot to the technical spec marketplaces enforce on main listing images, with gallery angles and detail crops alongside them, and the same files drop straight into Shopify or your own store.
