Virtual Twilight Real Estate Photography

Dusk Frames Without a Second Visit

Virtual twilight real estate photography turns a daytime exterior into a dusk frame in the edit — warm windows, deep blue sky — for the listings where a second evening visit was never on the table.

What It Actually Is

A Photo Edit, Not a Second Shoot

The daytime exterior already shot for your listing is rebuilt to dusk: sky replaced, windows and landscape lighting brought up, the frame relit so the house reads the way it would at blue hour. Nothing is scanned and nothing is toured — this is one still photo, edited.

Be Honest About It

When the Real Shoot Still Wins

A genuine dusk session beats the edit whenever it is possible, and it is worth saying so plainly — every frame on this page is a real session, shot on site, not an edit. Real glass reflects a real sky and the pool and hardscape light themselves. Dustyn shoots those on a +$175 add-on, timed to a window running roughly eighteen to twenty-five minutes after sunset. Use the edit when the listing goes live tomorrow, the home is tenant-occupied, or the weather never cooperated.

Disclose it properlyCalifornia's AB 723 governs altered listing images. The original daytime frame ships with your set.

Behind the Lens

Virtual Twilight with Dustyn Reno

A real DRD twilight session — shot on site at dusk, not a day-to-dusk edit

Dustyn Reno shoots the real dusk sessions himself and does the day-to-dusk editing himself too, which is why he will tell you straight which one a listing needs — there is a roughly twenty-minute window after sunset, and when a listing cannot wait for it, the edit is what is left.

Local context: California Regional MLS accepts twilight images at the same 4MP minimum spec as any other exterior, and dusk sessions are timed against the published sunset table for Riverside County. Boards generally expect materially enhanced listing images to be disclosed as enhanced — check your own MLS and brokerage rules before an edited frame goes up.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a day-to-dusk edit cost?
It is quoted with your shoot rather than sold off a rate card, because the number depends on how many exteriors you want treated and what the frames need. Ask when you book and you will get a figure before anything is edited.
Is this the same thing as a virtual tour or a 3D scan?
No. This is one still photograph edited to dusk. DRD does not sell virtual tours, Matterport scans, or 3D walkthroughs at all — what it does sell alongside stills is a filmed video walkthrough, a different product again.Video walkthroughs →
Should we book the real dusk shoot instead?
If the calendar allows it, yes — it is the stronger image, and it runs as a flat $175 add-on to any package. The edit is the answer when a second evening visit will not happen in time for launch.Twilight photography →
Does California's AB 723 apply to a dusk edit?
Assume it does. Since January 1, 2026 a digitally altered listing image needs two things: a conspicuous note on or beside the image, and a link, URL, or QR code to the original unaltered version. The statute does not name sky replacement either way, so the conservative read is to disclose it — and because the edit is built from a frame already in your set, the original is right there to link.Check a photo against AB 723 →
